Tampa Bay: Welcome to the Jerry O'Neil Experience

Geez, I can't believe they're actually simulcasting Jerry out of Orlando now. Enjoy it, Tampa. This is an Orlando mainstay here, in all his irritating glory.

My only regret is that they didn't do this 10 years ago with The Shot Doctor. Talk about a show stuck in a rut and relying on scripted gags, that was "Jerry and The Shot Doctor" to a tee.

Jerry's a good guy stuck working for a LAME company. I mean this with all honesty.... This show will never work in Tampa against 620 WDAE's Duemig and 98.7 The Fan's Wright and Booger. Seriously. If any two markets were different when it comes to sports, it's Tampa Bay vs. Orlando. Tampa Bay does not care about the Magic and Orlando doesn't care about the Lightning. The Rays are somewhat followed in Orlando and football is the only saving grace. But Jerry is a 17 year veteran... IN ORLANDO.... knows NBA and the Magic. That's "ORLANDO". It's never gonna work in Tampa Bay. NEVER.

Good guy in a tough situation. Very knowledgeable guy with a long term history in a very different town as Bill says. I wish him the best of luck as he is a true pro.

You had to figure this was coming with Genesis dropping ESPN - be interesting to see how they piece together a full schedule with Tampa and Orlando shows.

Great points made by billalm. I think it's just the wrong time to bring someone in from Orlando. Sure both cities have been long represented in the Arena Football League by the Orlando Predators and the Tampa Bay Storm. Perhaps it would be better to simulcast someone next summer when the University of Central Florida joins the University of South Florida in the Big East Conference. The only weekday sports shows I could recall that were simulcast in Orlando and Tampa were Marc Daniels back in the mid 1990's and of course Dan Sileo. By the way, the high school football scoreboard show with Steve Berrey does not count.
