Tampa Rays Radio

Does the Orlando radio market have a Tampa Rays affiliate? I tried to listen to the Rays-Red Sox game yesterday on both am & fm and couldn't find the game.

The Rays web site has WHOO 1080 a.m. listed as their affiliate in Orlando.

Re: Almost no free TV

While it has nothing to do with Rays radio, I couldn't help but notice that there's virtually no Rays games being broadcast on free over the air TV with the exception of a few games on FOX during their Saturday afternoon regular season broadcasts (WOFL- Ch 35 here in Orlando). In previous years quite a few games (last year about 67) were on WOPX- Ch 56 in Orlando. Now in order to see them one has to pay for it in the form of some subscription TV service. I guess this is what happens when you go from worst to first

There's very little baseball on free TV, period. The great majority of teams are entirely on cable, most of that being the various Fox Sports cable entities.

The Tampa Bay Rays baseball games are coming to WELE-AM 1380 for the Daytona Beach and Halifax area... Stay tuned...

The Rays are on 1080's sister station, AM 1190. Why? The night signal and patttern is better and being upgraded for better coverage for central Florida. You'd think 1080 would be promoting this a whole lot better.
