Tampa's WHPT & Orlando's WHTQ

Does anyone else wish WHTQ here sounded a little edgier like that of sister station WHPT? I like WHTQ but tend to flip to something else when the sleepy stuff occasionally creeps in.

I agree, the Tampa station sounds pretty damn good. It would be interesting if WHTQ took their route in the near future and started playing the grunge stuff from the 90's. It would be a pretty good idea, because a lot of that music was first heard on WHTQ in the early 90's on Orlando radio.....

Back in the days of Q-96....Quality Rock & Roll.........(1987-1992)

Since O-Rock has now left the airwaves, I'd expect... no actually, I'd suggest that WHTQ toss in some 90's classics and alternative grunge. Leave the classic "hits" to WMMO (and to the new 105.9 if that morphs into what we think it will). In my opinion, 96.5 has floundered for years and really has a chance to grab the 80's and 90's classic rock fans. I'll even go one step further and recommend that the new morning show guys keep the resumes fresh. If Bubba works out for 102.5 in Tampa and Rock 105 in Jacksonville, I see no reason why Cox couldn't add him in a few months and the fresher music to WHTQ.
