Tanya Cruise

The insurance industry works very dilligently with the Attorney General offices in each state and with the legislature to make sure insurance fraud laws and fines are harsh and are prosecuted and not swept under the rug or treated lightly. This does not bode well for those involved....and yes, they thought they would get away with it

More transcripts from the "Cruise" tapes released on the news tonight and it just keeps getting uglier for her. Just my opinion. She's as guilty as OJ.

OK 8 more minutes wasted on a chick I really don't give a s*it about. I'm watching Conan now. I feel happier already.

Even though everything is 'alleged' & according to WJAR she is taking 'personal time' off. This certainly has put
the very clean image of Lite Rock 105 in jeopardy. Remember when CC's Rebecca Morse Whitten had that motor vehicle incident
a few years ago? CC got rid of her very quickly. Granted this isn't, cooking the books. Or other 'alleged' issues involving a morning host on their sister station. But it is pretty serious... Citadel management might have to do some damage control.

Projo is mentioning she is 49... No way! She was in her 40s almost 20 years ago. I think she is pushing 60

OK.... after having a few hours to think about this, I should probably lay off Tanya... Lori... whatever. It's all fun and games for me to come here and goof around. However the more I think about this, the more I realize that there is a good chance she may never see the outside of a jail cell again if convicted. Nothing funny about that.

I've always been one to value my freedom and I can not even comprehend how traumatized she must be over this. Does she deserve it? Yeah probably.... to a point. It was a major bonehead move if she thought she could rip off an entire industry. However I'm sticking to my guns when I say that being locked up for 25 years is way to harsh of a penalty for taking a measly $50 Grand. According to her it would probably cost $20,000 to fix her house. That only leaves $30,000. Wouldn't of she had to split that with the other guys involved? She essentially risked her freedom and threw away her life for $7,500? Really? Seriously? Holy Moly! That could possibly make her one of the dumbest F'ing people on the planet.

Nonetheless.... Make her pay back the money and only put her in jail for a year. That seems fair to me. I've been the biggest A-hole towards her all night. It's simply because I'm pissed at what she did. I have very little tolerance for people who do this sort of thing. But I'm also the one person she would want on her side if I were a judge. I would let her off easy compared to what she's probably going to get.

Unbelievable. Just simply unbelievable. That building may have a black cloud over it.

no i agree skynet lock her up for a while and make her pay the money back by looking at her she looks shady!! ok now back to the fun!!

Somebody at Lite 105 might want to do a little tinkering with their website..pics of Lori--as a blonde and a brunette--are still there, along with her blog and pics of her dogs..

If the Feds are lowering the boom on you, its a hard thing to avoid..if she can get a plea deal, she needs to take it..

Apparently she wasn't great at making friends at her job either. I found this comment posted on the WJAR website from a former Pro-FM staff member.

It's not about ethnicity or location, it's about STUPIDITY. I worked with her and I guess her being completely self-serving hasn't changed. Karma is funny that way--it catches up to you. She was lucky to have worked in Providence radio as long as she has--I'm guessing this is NOT the kind of publicity Lite 105 wants--so this may finally be the "End of the Road" for Tanya Cruise. Oh well--it's about time.

Calm down already. Where did I say that "I'm OVER RADIO"? Now you are just making stuff up. So concerned with my posting habits. Go make some of your own.

By the way.... curious question if anyone is still paying attention. How does the FBI know to wiretap someone? Does this mean somebody who knew what was going on tipped them off (or) could it mean that the insurance company was suspicious and ordered an investigation?

Hmmm.... now that I think about it, if the insurance company had ordered an investigation and subsequent wiretap, it would have happened to late to capture the conversations that they did. So it sounds like Tanya or one of her gumbas talked about this scheme in front of the wrong person. You can't even trust your best friend these days. Somebody must have snitched her out.

Oh well... no matter what I post here I don't wish this nightmare on her. I have my fun goofing around in much the same way that a late night talk show host goofs around and makes jokes in his monolouge. I remember Letterman having a field day for weeks and weeks when Martha Stewart went to jail. He doesn't hate the woman though. I don't hate Tanya either. This is just a situation that's almost to difficult to not talk about. So I'm just having some fun with it. Besides.... there is NOTHING else going on in Providence radio right now. Take a look at the posts here. This place is dead quiet. This Tanya Cruise thing is pretty much the only thing going on.

John, this was all caught as part of the wiretaps the feds were running on Zamarano, Burchfield and Douglas in regards to the North providence extortion ring they were indicted for back in June. It is how they later got Douglas indicted for the sports betting enterprise he was running.

Oh... got it. Thanks. Now it makes sense to me. Much appreciated!
