I love it when people try to make assumptions about things they have no clue about. I've grown up in the market and did my homework. CC signed on 'The Beat' an urban format just like 102. When they finally got the right people in programming, they changed it a bit and went Rythmic/CHR. This strategy I think was good because they fall inbetween WJMH and WKZL. Both of those stations have been around for years. Jamz since the mid to late 80s and KZL was my mom's favorite station in high school! It's very difficult to break into that market when you have mainstay stations as your competitors. If you pay attention to the books, the ratings were on the rise in a hurry. The problems were elsewere. The programming was about the only thing that was done right..and they fire them..that makes sense, doesn't it.
Anyway, goatboy sounds like a 15 year old making himself feel better by making fun of other people's struggle. We're all in the same business and deal with the same things. We should all look out for eachother, because most likely, you'll be in the same position someday in the future.
