Interrupting the rude, hurtful, anonymous spitballs...
I heard that show and thought she did a solid job.
100-or-so-years-ago, when I worked there, I did every shift on that station EXCEPT mornings; and, to this day, I think I'd feel intimidated sliding into Salty's chair.
I heard a couple hours the other morning, and thought Tara sounded right-at-home.

Hooland,,Is it ok with you thats others have an opinion...Ron St Pierre should sub for Johnny D. 2 shifts Ron can handle.. Hooland, you're the person who thought Dave Barber was wonderfull too.. You 'liked' Air America... Makes me feel even better about my opinion.. By the way, your Studio remark was below the belt and like usual,, wrong..
Will never happen. Never happen. John and Ron don't get along, which means that John is not going to want Ron subbing for him. That also pulls Paul into the studio, which means that he can't get all of his job done on that day.alfieradioguy said:

You're right Someplace. Heard they hate eachother. Also WPRO isn't paying subs. Tara is on salary. Problem solved.

It is interesting that some of the hosts that WPRO has on during the day do not get along with each other. Correct me if I'm wrong, but John DiPietro does not get along with Mayor Cianci, Ron St Pierre and Dan Yorke, and Vice Versa. Matt Allen seems to get along with everyone. Any other hostilities? And what about at other radio stations - any other talk show hosts on the same station who dislike each other?

As for the rude, hurtful things posted above, perhaps we were just raised differently.
Anonymous spitballs are a-small-price-to-pay for having this forum.
It CAN be a useful opportunity for shoptalk.
Like listeners channel-surfing, users here have to glean worthwhile content among the snipes, and simply tune-out the rest.

It’s one thing to have a negative opinion, but are the misogynistic comments necessary? Making comments about wanting to see someone naked or she’d be hot if she lost "40 pounds" really show your maturity level and render your comments on her merits and talent, meaningless.

I really don't know how Tara can take JD. All he does is "playfully" insult her....or blame her for things he does wrong.
I can't stand the "Promotions Girl's" voice. It's like grating chalk on a blackboard.
I know that Tara does talk about drinking quite a bit, but JD
does goad her on about it.
She was good on Channel 6, though!

Holland-spot on! Something I've been saying for years on this site. Yes, people you can have an opinion; but when it goes out of bounds (as pretty much most things about Tara have been on this thread) YOU SHOULD GET CALLED OUT ON IT! Seeing who made the comments, I'm not surprised.

I like her. But, as a woman I never went in for girly talk, pedicures, on and on.
No girly talk, fortunately our daughter was very athletic and also could be very feminine. Hope our grandaughters are like that.

You're making my point. If she were "at-home" the conversations with family and about drinking buddies would have been appropriate, but maybe not so professional on-air. Unless, of course, it's on a "girl talk" show.
JD is not much better when he gives us call-in sports analysis from his 11 year old.
