Tara Hitchcock On GMAZ At 4:30 AM?!?

Friday 20 August I turn to KTVK's Good Morning Arizona (GMAZ) at 4:30 AM and Tara Hitchcock opens the show! I'm totally surprised. I've heard Tara say, on multiple occasions, that she would never start at 4:30. She told Javier Soto that Kaley O'Kelley would be doing the last 40 minutes of GMAZ solo and Tara wanted Kaley to sleep in. Of course, Tara complained (a little) about being very early and how do people function at 4:30.

I applaud Tara for 'biting the bullet' and supporting Kaley.

It's funny that Kaley has carried that show since she started. Kaley has anchored the show solo for hours on Memorial Day. Kaley has done double duty (co-anchor and weather anchor), when April was on maternity leave and Tara or Scott were on vacation. I've never heard Kaley remotely refer to how "nice" she's being or even mildly complaining about anything. Kaley is just a hard worker, trying to make a living (as opposed to a diva like Tara).
 
I 100% agree that Kaley has become a tremendous asset to GMAZ, just like we all predicted when it was announced.

I don't want to hate too much on Tara. She does her job well. She's earned a lot of vacation and should take it.

Also, I'm still waiting for KTVK to add Gina Maravilla's picture to their GMAZ ads.
 
Would Tara do well if they gave her a new entertainment/lifestyle type show? Your life a to z seems old and out dated. Maybe they need a facelift and add Tara into the mix ;-)
 
why would tara want more work? she works 20 hours a week & makes $$$$...shes got a part-time job and laughing all the way to the bank.
and until recently, she had been working only 15 hours a week!

i wouldnt watch her if you paid me...she has the warmth of a dead fly.
 
Tara is the diva that creates "warmth" by making fun of everyone else on GMAZ. I would just warn Tara to watch out when her contract is up. Stations have been getting rid of "senior" people all across the country. Now that they have Kaley, maybe Tara's value is not as big as she thinks.

Honestly, Tara would do much better on an entertainment-focused show.
