Tara on GMA

I have noticed a couple of times when I have been up at 5 am that it appears that Tara Hitchcock is not on the air during the 5 to 6am hour of Good Morning Arizona. Does anyone know why?

On June 1st KTVK made some changes to their anchor lineup. Marty Velasco Hames now opens the show at 5am and works just GMAZ. She used to come in during the 8 o'clock hour and then stayed to co-anchor the 11am newscast. Tara, now comes on board at 6am and takes over the host seat from 6-9. Tara now joins Scott Pasmore on the Good Day Arizona show from 11am-12pm.

There are two rumors on why this happened. One was that Marty wanted to spend more time with her daughter and working until noon was getting in the way. The other notion is that Tara (the star of the show...at least in her mind) did not like the very early wake up necessary to be on set by 5am. (Another recent thread talked about how Tara just renewed her contract and supposedly gave up a raise for additional time off, since she recently married and now has three step children, and may have negotiated the lineup change as part of the new contract.)
