Tara Servatius Leaves NC Conservative Website After Photo Choice

The former WBT afternoon host has stepped down from her position at the right-leaning John Locke Foundation after posting a blog about President Obama. It wasn't so much the content of her blog post, but rather the photo of Obama - which she claimed she got from "Google Images" - that accompanied it:

"The image, a crude, digitally manipulated photo, purported to show President Barack Obama in drag, complete with chains and high heels. And between his legs: A bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken."

And, of course, she says she didn't mean to offend anybody with that photo.

OK my degree was in Marketing, but I did take a couple of Journalism Classes and not checking your sources and using a little common scene is a big NO NO.* Legally Yum (the 70 or 80% Pepsi owned company that owns KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell etc.) could sue anyone involved. That is the problem with America, organizations (for and not for profit) have cut their staffs (especially middle management) to the point there is no oversight. This kind of stuff is what one would expect on a KKK or similar site. All this type of "didn't mean to offend anyone" activities does is justify the "politically correct" crowd.

*I grew up during the racially challenged 60's and early 70's. I was hoping that the race issue was gone, but I guess I was wrong.
