Tasteless WBAP Chris Krok promos

Early Saturday morning on WBAP, when these 20 kids at the Connecticut school have been dead less than 24 hours, Chris Krok comes on with a promo to be sure and listen to his Monday show about how the government was going to use this as excuse to TAKE OUR GUNS. Really classy.

Right up there with KLUV's Jenny Q playing John Lennon's IMAGINE THERE'S NO HEAVEN to empathize with the victims of the event. See Jenny Q post for detail.

The legacy and storied history of one of the nation's first radio stations, ratings and big money be damned, has been tarnished forever and ever.

I really think that Savage is much more listenable for long periods as compared to Chris; maybe they could be swapped out.

Hey, did I mention that impulse noise in central Arlington causes great difficulties with 570 reception at night.

Perhaps they could flip Savage and Chris....

Do they have to call Atlanta to make this type of decision?

Chris Krok is just not a good talk show host. He's from a small market and should still be in a small market. He is not ready for prime time.
It's sad that WBAP wouldn't pay to keep a great host like Mark Davis and instead hired this guy on the cheap. Those who want to suggest there was some political motive need only listen to Krok for a bit to realize his politics are similar to Davis.. he just doesn't express himself as well and is not as well-versed on the issues as Davis.

Well, was he wrong? Why did it take this to happen to have a discussion about gun control? The President campaigned in 2008 that he would have a serious discussion about arms but was completely silent until his re-election. Gabrielle Gifford. Aurora, Co. Hundreds of black youths killed in Chicago over the last few years. Silence. Why now? I'm not a fan of Chris but I have no problem with what he said. Just look at the overreaching proposals put forth by Sen. Feinstein.

And just exactly where was Krock wrong? Obama and Biden are falling over themselves to "not waste a crisis." Where is your indignation and outrage about the Democratic politically based response?
BTW....Krock was horrible in Atlanta and did not last long. He was banished to Macon where Lew "discovered" him.
One of the reasons conservatives keep getting bashed is because of talk hosts like Krock, Hannity, and Limbaugh. These guys don't have the slightest notion about true conservative thought....they simply shill for the Republican party - that same fun group who brought us Speaker John and his merry mates.
We will have more of the same from all political parties (and radio talk hosts, right and left) until the American people wake up and educate themselves. That means turning off Entertainment Tonight and Dancing with the Stars - it may even require reading a book! Think we're up to the challenge??!!

The "take our guns" part would be wrong, considering none of the proposals (many of which won't make it through Congress) had any confiscatory power.

Krok's promo was based on a faulty premise.
