TBS Goes For "Broke"

Big Bang is gaining them a younger demographic (I have a twenty-something at home who will have it on
all night when they run those marathons). I suspect they believe Broke Girls will continue that trend.

Being of an older generation, I have to admit that aside from Kaley Cuoco being quite cute, I don't
understand the appeal of Big Bang Theory.

WLNY... Interesting... Syndicated reruns traditionally ended up on WNYW, WWOR or WPIX in New York... Apparently, CBS (which purchased WLNY) will be running it like KCAL in L.A. (which also happens to be an independent station among four major non-"big three" commercial stations like WLNY)...

KCAL's schedule is pretty news/court show/talk show-heavy (plus Family Feud in the evenings); its only sitcom reruns are It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Scrubs, and both air post-midnight. They currently have same-day reruns of Entertainment Tonight and The Insider in the 11pm hour, plus some dating show at midnight (the name of the program escapes me). I remember when CBS acquired the reruns for Fraiser locally (it was originally on KCOP for years), it initally ran at 5 and 5:30pm on KCAL, until it got bumped to overnights on KCBS within a year; my guess is they'll try Mike & Molly and 2 Broke Girls in early access for time before it eventually gets shifted to late nights after the 10pm news.

I have a family member who works in a certain department at KCBS/KCAL and had always heard that KCAL was skewed to Males 18-49, mainly because they would air Lakers and Dodgers games. Now that the Lakers and Dodgers are on their way out at KCAL (well we don't know the outcome of the Dodgers, but word is they're either going to FSPT full time or TWC Sports), I wonder if KCAL is going to make some programming changes.
