Are these guys from California? I thought the Dougie came from Dallas. This is not hating in no way, because I think the song is hot, but it sound so south and if these guys are from California, what's the deal? I guess what I'm trying to say is Ice Cube's new song is hot, but Ice Cube stuck with that "Cali sound". He didn't have to change anything to get his song played. If I'm wrong in anything I'm saying, I will be the first to admit it.
 
Well, from what I heard the song had been buzzin in Cali first. I think Jermaine Dupri got a hold of the track and added that Southern beat to it. If you're familiar with music listen to Dem Franchise Boyz "Oh I Think They Like Me" then listen to Teach Me How To Dougie. JD's work.
 
The guys in the group were friends with a guy I forgot his name that had a song just like that popping in Texas like 2 years ago and told them to use the same title and concept. His name was lil something. JD had nothing to do with this song.
 
"My Dougie" was major hot here in the metroplex, but I thought he was from here.
