Technical changes granted for CHYQ 97.1 Nipissing, Ontario

Le 5 Communications received approval today to decrease the power of CHYQ 97.1 in Nipissing, Ontario (LE LOUP 97.1) from 47,100 to 6,500 watts (77,600 to 6,500 watts maximum ERP). Antenna height will be lowered from 136.2 to 45.7 metres (EHAAT). The transmitter site will be relocated with the radiation pattern changing from directional to non-directional.

In the original application Le 5 Communications had also proposed to change the city of license of CHYQ from Nipissing to Sturgeon Falls. This was not mentioned in today's decision.
