TED HENRY, LONG TIME TV ANCHOR AND NEWSMAN ANNOUNCED HE IS RETIRING IN MAY, 2009. TED IS A LOCAL NE OHIO NATIVE WHO MADE EMBODIED OBJECTIVE REPORTING ON A NATIONAL SCALE WHILE BEING THE LONGEST TENURED NEWSMAN IN NEOHIO.

PLEASE SHARE THOTS ON HOW TED IMPACTED YOUR LIFE

I remember Ted from back in the 70's when I still lived in NE Ohio. He along with the entire staff at WEWS always put on a great newscast back then. To this day I still think it was about the best overall news casts that I have ever seen.

I remember Ted was with Don Webster (weather) and Gib Shanley (sports). I don't recall who his co-anchor was right now. I do remember Wilma Smith being there but I am not sure if she was anchoring at that point. Of course Dorothy Fultieme (spelling?) was doing her commentary too.

One of my favorite parts of their newscast was the Eyewitness News Reel. All the odd and funny news of the world.

Alaways a CLASS ACT as for the co-anchors well after John Hambrick left we had the pairing of DAVE PATTERSON & TED then Dave left and Ted was teamed with the following in order I believe JEFF MAYNOR,PAT MINARCIN,WILMA SMITH,LORNA BARRET,ROBIN SWOBODA,LEE JORDAN AND DANITA HARRIS.

Thanks for jogging my memory alans. I do remember John Hambrick and Dave Patterson. Wilma Smith was there but I believe she was still doing reporting and possibly the morning news.

I agree they all were class acts as far as I was concerned.

The few times I had interaction with Ted, he was always a gentleman and always complimented me. I liked his style a lot and this is both a sad but a nice story. Sad because changes and endings come to us all. Nice because he leaves behind a solid body of work and lots of positives. Plus - there may be another chapter opening for Ted.

Ted? Thanks for keeping me company all the years I lived in Cleveland. Good luck and God bless you and yours.
