TEGNA Gutting KPNX AGAIN!

I thought I would start this, since 2Son's threads were invalid.

According to ftvlive.com, KPNX has let go weekend meteorologist Dr Matt Pace and chief investigative reporter Wendy Halloran. Matt confirmed it on social media, while Wendy's bio is gone from the website. I knew Matt was new to broadcasting, but he knew his weather. My only complaint about Matt was that he had started using Jimmy Q's language (i.e. that low pressure is moving in towards Arizona -- wth is "in towards"???). Wendy seemed to be a decent investigative reporter.

San Diego meteorologist and former Fox 10 reporter Kristen Keough has been hired to replace Matt. No word on whether KPNX will continue to do investigative reporting. Apparently, it's much more important to hire a meteorologist who posts bikini pics of herself on social media.

Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any worse...

Thanks for posting. I tried yesterday, but the website was having tech issues and then went down altogether. I didn't realize it would have created multiple threads.

Me thinks that TEGNA would save a bundle of money if they moved
all their news operations to Flagstaff and made KPNX a satellite station
of KNAZ. They could hire has beens or teeny boppers for a fraction
of what they currently pay. Most Phoenix viewers would not notice the
difference since very few people actually watch Arizona's Team........

Speaking of which, have we seen any actual ratings lately???

It would be nice to have actual data!
