Tjeano 107 almost always leads KROM, KCOR-FM and the rest.

It never will be. Hispanics in SA are 75% to 80% English dominant, and in HOU they are about 66% Spanish dominant. Not enough listeners for Tejano in Houston.

So? That has nothing to do with ratings or the deportation of illegals (which will never fully happen anyway).
 
Ok I guess, But didnt you hear the news that all enployers have 90 days to check their employees status and if they are eligal, the employers will have to pay big fines????
 
Hey im not saying nothing wrong here buddy, all Im saying is what will happen when imigration deports all the imigrants? How will this affect radio, And I just mentioned San Antonio becuase if San Antonio could have a Tejano station in fm, why cant we??
 
Trust me, most of the things you are saying are wrong. There will be no changes. Illegal Immigrants do not participate in any type of surveys or fill out diaries from Arbriton. They just DON"T So if any illegals go back to their country of origin, nothing will change. You got it all wrong. Tejano music is just waiting for someone to close its coffin. I'm very familiar with almost any type of Spanish format (from Mexico and Tejano) and let me tell you, every Tejano station that is out there has a very small playlist. Songs are now just based from the 80's and 90's. It's comed and gone. I'll give it about 15 years before it is legally dead. :D

Well thats ur opinion versus facts. Tejano 107.5 has the most ratings of all the spanish stations In San Antonio
 
Opinion Vs. Fact?
Fact is that Tejano is dead. People will eventually get tired of the same tracks from the 80's and 90's. There are no more new artist. The only thing left is Independent artist that are not good enough to get air play.
 
Hey Juan In San Antonio they almost dont play tejano, that station plays cumbias from los tigrellios, Los Mier and eberything else that Estereo Latino plays here. Its just like having estereo latino switch to english. They even play regaton

The Reggeaton you speak of is only from 10pm-Midnight Mon-Thurs. and it's very limited. Tejano 107.5 is just that-Tejano.

Have you even listened to the station itself. This station is the most Tejano Station in the Universe! What you are clearly talking about is the show that Frank De Santiago has. His show plays a lot of Reggeton and Cumbia. It's just a nightly show. During regular programming hours, they don't play Los Tigrillos. Please do more research before posting.
