Tejas Broadcasting

somebody has to remember, who ws that gm that was screwing the fat chick that was a dj at the station? he had to resign in front of staff and was crying. bert loved to tell that story. eddy something? it had to be 05 or 06

fred there are always a number of factors at work, in a down market, but the buck has to stop somewhere, radioman921 wants to blame the entire problem on ownership, just read some of his post, full of name calling and finger pointing.
cleto74, i can't even believe how nasty he has just gotten with the last post, i say he because i don't beleive a woman would post such trash. it does not even deserve a reply.
he posted the numbers that we are all looking at.
and yes a manager Kent Cooper should have been FIRED for the numbers i see from 08-09 no matter what other factors were at work he was in charge

sorry to offend 922 there have just been too many unbelievable stories out of that facility and when bert clark told you a story there was just no way to make it tasteful. i was just curious if anyone knew who the guy was

Man, some of you guys really hate Kent Cooper.

I enjoyed working for him, and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Always good to me, and we made plenty of money when he was managing things.

I know very little about his situation at Tejas, but from some of the technical problems I heard about, it seemed to me that ownership had very little money to start with and very little interest in doing things right. To at least some degree, you have to spend it to make it. It's hard to turn a station with a burned up transmission line into a cash cow.

no hate here,
i'm tired of hearing radio guys talk about who they used to be, and how great they were back in the good old days, times have changed managers who can't change with the times need to go,
i checked on the burn out at Tejas you talked about its on KOUL and that station has always been on the air, even on the back up antena its still one of the best FM's in Corpus. that's no excuse for the 09 numbers i see here.
