Telefunken R-F-T AK47

Hey LilJohnny,
I bought one about 4 months ago and really like it. It's a solid mic. I've become somewhat of a mic addict and decided to go ahead and get the mic I've always wanted, a Neumann U87. So, for now I'm using the AK-47 as a backup to the U87. To me they sound very similar. I bought mine from Mercenary where they double the warranty, so it's covered for 10 years. If you want to hear a sample of the way it sounds, the commercial demo on my webpage was done with the Telefunken. The real estate demo was done with my old Neumann TLM 103. Hey for only $299 including shockmount, it's a great deal. It sounds really good for the price. When I bought mine the shockmount, blueberry cable and windscreen was included. It's a little sensitive to the pops, but you can easily work around that.
Here's a link to a friend of mines mic test page. He has several posted from different folks and my AK-47 and U87 are featured. I did notice that the AK47 was harsher that the U87 after listening to the clips. It could have been time of day as my voice varies a good bit.
There's also a clip of the Blue Bluebird that was sent in by Josh Mahler of St. Louis you might want to check out.
