Telemetry and Remote Control

Hi -

I've been looking at getting a used 250 - 300 watt FM amp. I've noticed a lot of them have remote control and telemetry outs, but as RS232 data strings. Have any of you had any experience getting the RS232 over to voltage for an old fashioned remote control unit?

Any ideas? (Any amps/exciters you want to get rid of?)

Thanks!
JR

Look at the gadgets sold by Measurement Computing (www.mccdaq.com).

They may have something there that will do what you want, although mostly they sell devices that convert dc samples to data a computer can use, not the other way around.
