Orlando’s Telemundo 31 this week will offer the first report from its new consumer investigative unit.
The first topic: The warranty on a car sold to an Uber and Lyft driver. What happened after the car conked out and the driver was told he couldn’t get his money back?
The segment from the “Telemundo 31 Responde” team, led by journalist Valezka Gil, will air at 6 p.m. Thursday during “Telenoticias 31.”
The unit’s reports will air every Thursday during local newscasts. They also can be seen at Telemundo31.com and via the station’s mobile app Telemundo 31.
Gil has worked at Telemundo 31 for six years as reporter and producer. A Suncoast Regional Emmy and Society of Professional Journalists award winner, she is a native of Venezuela and a longtime Orlando resident.
