Television question to ask?

First, this doesn't have anything to do with any anchor in Texas, but I live out of state. Where I'm at there a television news anchor who hasn't been on the air for almost two weeks. I called the station and the station reply was she on leave. I asked will she be back, and the station reply was they don't know. Does that mean she already left, and will never come back, or she may comeback? I know her contract was renewed.....Please, explain what this mean..... Thanks!

Let's see...some real-life local examples:

The anchor's girlfriend committed suicide.

The anchor threw another anchor in a swimming pool and it's under investigation.

The anchor longed for her family in New York, and was comtemplating a move back home.

The anchor is pregnant, and doesn't want to spoil her on-air image.

The anchors spoke out on his AND her personal political leanings, and were suspended.

The reporter tried to start a union at the station.

The anchor is undergoing cancer treatments and doesn't have the energy to work an 8-hour day yet.

And the best...the weatherman decided it was time for a sex change.

Really, it could be ANYTHING. These real examples are just the extremes...

Speaking of that 2nd example, I wonder if said male anchor ever regrets throwing said female anchor, who cant swim, into the pool??

I believe he thanked her for putting him back in radio when he was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. ;D

ROFLMAO!!!! Seriously folks. How many of us were going down our cerebral checklist here, saying to ourselves, "I know her, and him, and that situation, and OMG, check this one out." ;D
