1620 - New station, Great signal. Good classic country music jukebox and local sports. No commercials but lots of PSAs.
1490 - The Milton Station that lost it's tower durring hurricane Dennis. Playing standards with a full load of commercials. It's coverage along the beaches has been much better over the past few days, but i don't know the status of their tower. They are 1000 watts full time, but being located in Milton, that makes them a daytimer for Pensacola and the beaches.
1450 - WBSR - a waste of a station. Plays light, family friendly AC. Few commericals, if any. This station needs a new format or new owners. If Sports Radio 98.1 downgrads to a Fort Walton only station, WBSR would be very smart to grab the Sports talk position in Pensacola
1370 - WCOA - #1 AM station, News/Talk. Must be doing well. Although their salesmen want to package advertising with 106.1 which has a very different audience.
1330 - WEBY - Daytimer. Local Santa Rosa county news in the mornings and afternoons. News/Talk the rest of the day. Has lots of commercials advertising themselves. Probably not making much money. Has a CP that will allow it to cover Pensacola much better from Garcon Point with 25kw days.
1230 - Religious (southern gospel?)
1090 - Religious (black gospel?)
980 - Black oldies. Mostly satilite fed but does have local black and hispanic community affairs programs. Probably making good money.
790 - CNN Headline news with some local cut ins. Proabably making money.
610 - Religious // simulcast 550 Very Poor signal
550 - Religious // simulcast 610 Very Strong Signal
1090, and 1230 frequently simulcast preaching from 550 and 610, even though they cover the same area.
No Fort Walton or Mobile AMs reach Pensacola, so that should cover the whole dial. WWL New Orleans WDIZ Panama City and several Tampa Bay stations put good signals into Pensacola in the daytime, but never make the ratings books.
