The company had very few CHR stations prior to the Citadel acquisition and the ones they did have were terrible and in small markets.
Huh? ???
Come on, we all want Cumulus to change, but your posts are getting a little bit over the top IMO - Cumulus had a large number of CHRs before the Citadel acquisition, they don't leave songs that are a year old in power rotation, and you're continuing to make statements about Cumulus CHRs based on a station you listen to in OK City that isn't even a CHR
Open House Party is musically far safer than AT40, since it focuses on the biggest hits, leans dance/rhythmic, and plays breaking hits by young-leaning artists - and it tends to air on weekend nights, when a lot of the audience is partying/out clubbing
Some Cumulus CHRs, in certain areas of the country, need more liberal programming, and seem to be headed in that direction, but others, like Q100, are winning, and in the case of Q100, completely demolishing their competition
