If enough people complain about WOR yanking first Lionel and now Malzberg's third hour for the quack Hoffman than WOR will have to respond. It's enough of a phoney-baloney medical quack pretending to know how to help people. I'm sorry but if I feel sick and need medical treatment I'm going to go to a doctor and not call Hoffman. " Oh Dr. Hoffman I'm having severe abdmominal pain and coughing up blood. What should I do?" " Well you need to take such and such vitamins because new studies prove that such and such vitamins are good for you." What an absolute farce. Give New York the full 3-hour Malzberg. I'm convinced that the main reason Lionel left is because he was tired of being ripped off by Hoffman.

WOR has allways had a fondness for this sort "advice" show, we had "Dr" Bernard Meltzer who stayed untill his Alzhimer's became funnier than Bob & Ray's show.

There was Atkins and before him, Carleton Fredricks who did a similar show and hawked, among other "cures" something called "Mint Julep" -a nearly all fructose concoction that was to be taken, of all times, before bed.

It ain't only WOR, many station are now whoring their airtime to quacks of all persuasions on weekends.

Then you have; Rush Limbaugh,,Sean Hannity,,Levin,,,savage,,,,,,,,,,

At least the names you mentioned all have their shows run in their entirety. Personally I would cancel Food Talk, and have Dr. Hoffman do his show from 11am to noon if they want to keep him. This way they could run Malzbergs entire show. Or start Joey Reynolds at 1am instead of midnight, and have Hoffman do his show at midnight.
