Telos Prostream and Stream The World (Triton)

Has anyone had success using the new Telos Pro Stream Appliance to stream directly to stream the world (Triton) without using their station manager software?

We're in the process of setting up a Prostream and expect to have it up and running next week. Make sure you download the latest software as it may not be installed in your system. If you plan to use Icecast you'll need it as older software/firmware versions of prostream don't have the ability to use it.

We're going to send our stream directly to a streaming company where they will multiply our feed for us.

Thanks Josh. Who is your Streaming Provider? Triton? The difficultly with Stream the World is that they use there own propitiatory software to encode the streams at the studio end. We would like to remove this software and just use the Pro Stream Appliance.

HI CMAC,

We have been using MAINSTREAMNETWORK.COM for quite sometime and have been very pleased with their service. They are a US based company and when you call Tech Support you speak to a US citizen that knows his stuff. They are fantastic company. josh

I just finished getting a Prostream running to Live365 that did take a bit of work to get the connection right. I had to get a custom metadata filter from Telos to import the data coming from mt Enco Padapult system. Once I had the data right I turned off of the old computer running the Live635 encoder and then a reboot of the Telos. Live 365 uses the Shoutcast stream with a specific IP:port and password. I'm trying to get a higher bitrate stream now but you can listen to the 56kbps line here - www.wzip.fm

HI,

Good to hear from you! We've just installed the Telos Prostream and the sound is far better than Windows Media. Their tech support is fantastic. The Telos tech support person actually went into our system via the internet and checked all our settings. Great experience. At this point we're running the stream as a test stream for one week to make sure everything runs ok. It's basically a formality but we will have it running as our mainstream next week. Right now we're using windows media encoder/player. You can hear our stream here: http://www.liftfm.com

Sometime next week you'll be hearing our stream via Telos Prostream. The quality of the stream is distinctly better.
