Telos Zephyr Classic..help!

Picked up a very well used black faced original Zephyr this week. Noticed that the fan has been removed from it. I had a similar unit several years ago (before purchasing the Xstream that has no fan..but it died..and it's history) and that older unit had to have the cooling fan replaced at three times. Those little fans don't last.

I hear that a lot of CE's are just removing them, and having no issues as the vent holes are quite large. and frankly this one doesn't get too warm. Any thoughts on that idea? They really don;t seem to cool much, and the things make a lot of noise.

Also I need to replace several of the buttons on this dude. I hear that Telos might have replacements.

Jeff,

I just wanted to say "hello". I remember talking to you when you had your first Zephyr way back when. I think we met at one of the shows too, but it has been a long time.

Anyway, I haven't been with Telos for a few years, but I did want to say hi.

cheers

Rolf
