Tepco Translator info wanted.

I have a Tepco translator project that's not playing nice.

The power supply's filter caps leaked and have been replaced:

and the PA has been cleaned:

and I put them into service today but the PA's power output meter immediately started a modest pulse into the top of the scale. I brought the output control down; but not before it failed.

So, I'm needing to look at a few schematics.

The translator model: J-317MT/J317MST

The PA model: J3250 40-250

But the model of the power supply isn't known.

Can anyone help?

Assuming they are still around, here's Tepco's contact info: Tepco Corporation; 2603 S. Hwy 79
P0 Box 1160; Rapid City, SD 57709 Phone: 605-343-720 [email protected]

I have a book somewhere, but believe it is for the earlier J316 series.

I suggest you take the main board out and give the chassis a good wash down, let it THOROUGHLY dry and then recap it and put it back together. It's filthy, and all that dirt is going to keep heat from radiating out the way it should.
