Terion RDS System

We acquired a radio station with a Terion RDS system. However, no documentation was provided. Does anyone have any information on this that would be helpful in programming?

I'll bet they're not getting any $$$ from Terion since they went under way back in '04 or '05.

Most of the sites I maintain have disconnected Terion boxes rotting away in the racks. If I remember right, there was no way to locally control them...static messages had to be programmed from a Terion web page.

I can't find any instructions - here are a few notes that I can remember.

with a pc connected to the unit via serial port....restart the unit and you will see it boot up in hyperterm (assuming you get the baud rate correct)

you have to interrupt the boot up and then delete a directory (yes, it looks like your in a DOS computer)

edit config file with your call letters and other RDS info

text can be sent to the unit via something as simple as RT = "text" or ps scroll = "text".

Hmmm...sounds like a nice rainy-day project. I can even test it now that I have a RDS-capable receiver, in my LG Chocolate Touch cell phone.
