Wasn't a guy named Joe Jackson around in that era at WZZQ? He was GM I think, and had a pretty good engineering background as I remember.
 
Joe Jackson was the WBOW/WZZQ manager for a short period of time. The day he left, the WBOW program director, the ledgendary Ron Dennington was on the air with his mid-day airshift. When Joe packed up his personal items, and left the building, Ron played on WBOW "Stepping Out, by Joe Jackson, which was a hit at that time.
