Terre Haute ratings

Man I see that Emmis' WTHI kicked butt in the Fall book! Their WWVR had 3rd. Midwests' WMGI 2nd. Looks like the Crock Croaked. When I listened to them it was terrible. Technically sounds bad and the programmings really strange. I realize that they switched during the book but it is pitiful. Looks like the freq. swap hurt them also. The new 97.7 station, WCLS Spencer showed ratings that had to be left over WSDM numbers. Midwests' WWSY was down this fall.

Also heard a rumour that long time WTHI PD morning guy Barry Kent was seen getting the grand tour of WMGI and WWSY. They do have a GM opening or is Midwest looking for a PD for their new purchase in the Terre Haute market Country WACF in Paris, Il.????

Got the scoop on BKs tour. Nothing covert. The engineer is an old friend of his and wanted to show off the facility.<P ID="signature">______________

Welcome to Radio-Info indianaradiogod :)

The Crock is constantly tweaking the format...I don't get the chance to listen often, but it seems like I'll listen one time and they'll play 4 "country" songs followed by 4 rock songs and the next time it'll be 2 rock a country and another rock. Nothing wrong with that.

Note WAXI (flopped from Standards to Oldies Oct. 31) is up almost 2 shares. Could have taken something away from WWSY?

The Pilot Truckstop in Brazil has the Croc on the PA. It doesn't sound too bad.
It reminded of a station in the early "80s that labeled itself "A little bit country, a little bit rock..the music is just right!". However they didn't rock or play hardcore C&W like crock.

P.S. You could say they are almost like the supershuffle on Sirius, only with 2 formats.

Radio god? You might rethink your username. You evidently don't have a clue as to how to read an Arbitron book or how to report findings. Are you talking about metro or TSA. What demo? Dayparts? To say that (generalizing) Emmis had a great book is wrong and also an injustice to the other stations. So you want to generalize? How about this... take a look at TSA, any daypart, any demo, and report which station had the biggest increases. Oh, I know, that would WAXI, a little 5k station. Now, if you want to talk about who's number one, that's fine. Everyone with the most minute radio knowledge knows that will be WTHI, at least for the forseeable future. They have been OVERALL number one for many years. Well established. Will be very hard to de-throne. But even WTHI slipped in many catagories.

So, indianaradiogod, you might want to brag on a subject that you are well versed in. Arbitron is NOT that subject.
