How much is it, like $4,999,999,999,999.99 at Radio Shack?
______________
FCC=Freakin' Clear Channel. Also known as sluggmunki_tx on tv.com

Whenever I ses this question I think back to the 1980's. A lot of people (myself included) couldn't fathom spending hard earned dollars on a couple of cable TV channels when we already had a half-dozen channels for free. What more could we possibly hope for?

Wow!! No commercials - uncut movies - what will they think of next?

I feel the major issue here is that we're a technology driven society. Satellite and Internet are certainly here to stay, unless they are completely replaced by something else yet to be developed.

The major impetus behind the development wasn't someone's complete dissatisfaction with terrestrial radio - though valid, that was secondary. The driving force behind satellite was the simple fact that it was a newer technology that a small group of people determined a way to develop for commercial success. The fact that it happened during a time when commercial radio, for the most part, really sucks, only helps the satellite companies.

The sad thing is that terrestrial radio owners thump their chests, proclaim superiority and kick aside any serious discussion of competition or improving their product. Rather, they strut around as if the alternative technologies don't exist and are of no concern to them whatsoever (like terrestrial TV owners did 25 years ago). My oh my - how history has a way of repeating itself.

The sad thing is that I sit here scanning through 150 satellite TV channels and can't find a darned thing to watch.

It's one sale this week for 3,999,999,999,999.99, however it'll be discontinued next week, and they'll deny they ever had it. Welcome to Radio Shaft. You've got questions, they've got shrugs.

"I'm sorry sir we didn't have what you wanted. How many cell phones would you like to buy today?"

Oh, and don't forget to give them at least your zip, if not half of the rest of your personal info, so you'll get sucked into that vortex of weekly ad mailings...would you like batteries with that? :)
