I'm sure there are plenty of radio stations that have really good sounding HD signals, but I'm also sure there are plenty of radio stations that sound TERRIBLE in HD. I will start this list off with Hubbard's Twin Cities stations, KSTP-FM and KTMY. If you think that the 94.5 analog signal is terrible just wait until the HD kicks in, I cannot listen to that station for half a second without having to change it because of the VERY, VERY, VERY harsh metallic audio that lacks any type of bass, similar to the 94.5 analog signal itself except without the very noticeable metallic sound, and yet, they usually are #1 in the ratings. KTMY doesn't sound as bad, but I think they need better microphones as it is a Talk station. Even Entercom's KZJK-HD2 sounds wayyyyy better than 94.5's HD1 signal, and that says alot because KZJK-HD2 has a similar harsh metallic sound. Ironically, 94.5 HD2 & 107.1 HD2 sound way better than the HD1 signals of both stations, 107.1 HD2 actually has bass and none of that terrible metallic audio you get on both 94.5 HD1 & 107.1 HD1.
