Terrie Springs

Terrie Springs has crossed the hall from COYOTE middays to KKLZ middays.

It looks like KKLZ is assembling their entire airstaff from other stations in the Beasley cluster.

Terry Springs---worst jock I've ever heard, sounds like a librarian on sleeping pills. How does she keep her job?

Well, I happen to think she identifies with the female audience rather well. She was #1 25-54 last book. (she was #1 25-54 with the old KMZQ Klassy 100 when they did "The Quiet Storm" at night back in 96) Then she went to Denver to do mornings on KOOL.
The worst sounding jock I ever heard was a guy named Ted Kramer...omg he puked so bad...sounded like a typical wannabe dj at a nudie bar...As for worst sounding in this market, Duncan Payton hands down! Definitely NOT morning material!

I like Terrie's presentation--actually the entire station's quality has steadily improved the last couple of months! Is there a new PD or MD on board? Also, I've noticed that they have FINALLY expanded their playlist a bit! GOOD! :D ;D ;)

(P.S. If there is anyone from KKLZ on this forum, please explain why there isn't any promotion for Casey's AT40-the 80's, that airs at midnight on Sunday nites/monday mornings. ??? Maybe move the 1st AT40-the 70's airing just before John Landecker's "Into The 70's", & then have AT40-the 80's 1st airing to the 7am Sunday slot, then everything else as is. :))

Because Cheaply, I mean Beasley is too stupid to spend promotional money to protect their product. They are lucky they have Larry Martino as the helm who knows oldies.
They did get Sean Lynch---good move. Now will they be smart enough to can The Coyote PD and get a good MD? KWNR should have been beaten a year ago.

You are right, they play AT40-The 80s at a fringe time and don't promote it at all. I'm generally not a fan of 80s stations, but I do enjoy those old countdowns..especially the ones from early in the decade. Lot's of good "Oh Wow" songs like Phil Seymour "Precious To Me", Terri Gibbs "Somebody's Knockin" and Rufus/Chaka Khan "Do You Love What You Feel". What I find interesting is that songs that didn't seem cool at the time sound wonderful now, such as Dan Fogelberg "Make Love Stay".

John Landecker still sounds great! It's so refreshing to hear a jock with that old time style.
