I remember the tail end of his run on WIXZ.... am I correct in assuming that he was the only real ratings that station had?

I used to listen to WMCK when KQV still carried ABC news at 6:30 and Don McNeill at 9AM. I thought they sounded good for what I assume was very low budget. Better than most robo-jock jobs like Q92.9 or the Eagle in Tampa. It was called "MIghty 1360" and was only robo-jock overnights. I remember Herb Allen, Lou Janis, and Bill Lynch. I forget who did mornings.

I was actually a big WIXZ fan as a kid. Never understood a word the Wild Child said but the station rocked.

Also remember a couple of other names including Sean Grabowski (was that George Hart?) and Chuck Dunaway.

That was Bill Rock who went on to NBC/WNBC in New York City. I still keep in contact with Bill. Bill Rock, by the way, is his real name.

Being a former Pittsburgher who wasn't here for much of his youth, I thought this was a thread about the mysterious AAMCO transmission Terry...
