Terry Mason, RIP

I noted this from another radio-listserv.

Thinking off the top of my head, Terry Mason, wasn't he the host of 70s Saturday Night on Mix 105.1 Orlando, WOMX? I know I've heard his name before in Orlando, is WOMX it or was it BJ 105 WBJW in the 80s where? My Condolances to his family.

Found out today ON the Steve Brown Program that long time 1290 KOIL
// KKAR broadcaster Terry Mason passed away suddenly thursday PM. Many
people in the local radio business, and 1290 KKAR are understandably
shocked. The Team of Terry Mason and Clay Michaels were recently
bought back to the 1290 airwaves as News Talk KKAR's morning team, a
gig they held on 1290 KOIL during the 1980's. Mr. Mason was the PD at
KOIL as well in it's golden days in the Mid 80's and also had a long
radio presence in Orlando, Florida. Terry also did Px P sports on 1290
KKAR and it sports sister station 1620 KOZN. He was also a contributor
to the historical K O I L Tribute web site. Many Condolences to his
family and colleagues.

I remember Terry from WGTO-540 during its days as an oldies station in the early nineties. I made his acquaintance soon after I moved to Orlando in 1990. He was a great jock and one of radio's really nice guys. He will be missed.
