Some of you will recall Officer Groinman, or much older reference ... Jimmy Stalwart. All played by the remarkable Terry McManus, who left our good Seattle company this weekend.
He was a great voiceover artist, and will likely be remembered for his KJR work, and his commercial work, especially concert spots, if I remember correctly.
Wow, really sorry to hear about Terry. The guy had a wicked sense of humor. I remember one time, after a few beers, the old radio war stories would start rolling. Next day my guts were sore from all the continuous laughing when Terry got going.
I also heard him on voice overs for KATW Lewiston in the '90s.
His KXRX voiceovers were an indelible part of the daily soundtrack to thousands of Northwest radio listeners in the late '80s/early '90s. Including me. RIP Terry.
Terry was an unbleievable talent and special lifetime friend who produced my syndicated radio show The Zodiac Lady when we all worked for KOL radio in Seattle. He was currently co producing my Amazon Audible book with voice talent Maureen Rivers on my latest book. He is and will always remain one of the true soul mates in my life. I am honored to have known him and cherish the times we spent together.
