At 6:49 pm, Terry announces management has come into the studio and fired him. As a listener, I'm thinking is this for real? I check the date-- March 31-- the end of the month-- so it might be legit. He says that he's told them that format won't work here. He gets his wallet, his computer, and the new format begins.... Bagpipe music!

Nope, Meiners actually did it in the last 10 minutes of his show. I'm just wondering WHEN Clearchannel will costcut Meiners from WHAS. WVLK-AM cut local programming in Lexington in favor of Sean Hannity, so I imagine it could be done here. Don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of local programming, but who would replace Meiners when he leaves/retires-- another local host or syndicated programming?

Today is the end of the month and tomorrow is the start of a new month, April; as in April 1st and or April Fool's Day.

We can only hope in this case. Meiners sucks and is a tune out factor for me. I haven't listened to afternoon radio since Gary Burbank left WLW.

If Meiners was as funny as he thought he was, he'd be a halfway decent jock.
 
I agree. I sure miss Gary burbank on 700 WLW. I can't stand Tracy Jones so I have never listened to his garbage show but will give WLW credit for keeping it local in the afternoon drive. As for 84 WHAS, well anybody who knows my posts here knows how I feel about that once great station. I don't even bother tuning it in anymore.
