Terry Nelson Passes

Sorry to hear that. Never met him, but enjoyed his work.

Terry spent most of the 1970s in Sacramento at KROY before going to KFRC in 1979 or 1980. By '82 Terry came back to Sacramento to program KXOA.

And I've been reminded that Terry was also at KFI, Los Angeles during its Top 40 years.

Sorry to hear of Terry Nelson's passing. I visited Terry in the 99X studios at 1440 Broadway when he was doing a Sunday afternoon shift in 1976. It was the weekend prior to the arrival of Jay Thomas and Nelson would be moving from mornings to afternoons. I remember Terry telling me that Jay Thomas did "an Imus type of show" and also that Nelson didn't care that much for New York. "I'm a California boy", he said. Condolences to his family.
