I messed with it a bit... not bad - watch out for airchecks using that page...

Funny thing is, a day before knowing about this link, I was editing and cutting out some audio clips from some of my radio recordings. I was going to do something similar!

I glanced at the rest of that 98 WRC website. WOW! The webmasters truly did an AMAZING job with everything!! Those were the good ol' days of radio.

Needs some SFX buttons. Honk-Honk, boom, sproink, zwip and other useful sounds. Wheres the teletype cart button?
Need a studio door squeak, paper rustle, duck quack, etc. Did like the the song choices! Little Willy! I play that....

Oh-oh yea-ah! Whoop!

I must have played Mr. Big Stuff at least 25 times by now
(power rotation, you know) and there's still no cue burn!

Didn't know a Stax 45 held up as well as a Capitol. ;)

LOL! This rocks! I can't wait for Mattel to make a version if this! I just hope they don't make it in China.. Dern Lead Paint.

Kind of wish the Control Room had the KHJ "Double A" jingles.

I'd sure like to come out of Mr. Big Stuff and slam on the
bottom of the hour ID jingle.

"...It's 1:31, with Mark Elliot!" (Bootleg Top 40 Volume 1)

Now I'm getting weird looks from some of the younger posters
who are wondering "what's a bottom of the hour ID?" ;D

Pardon me sir, but what's the difference between a bottom of the hour ID, and top of the hour ID?
And
Do you want fries time pips with that? ;D

I think you're just playing along, but for those who may
be wondering--some years ago (I think it was in the mid to
late '70s) the FCC dropped the requirement for stations to
do a legal ID on the half-hour, while retaining, and loosening
the window for, the TOH ID.

The windows used to be quite narrow--:58-:02 and :28-:32.
The TOH window was initially widened to :55-:05 and later
evolved into "aw, just do it with some semblance of being
near the hour, even if you bury it in the stopset at :50."

So much for the FCC caring about anything (except Janet
Jackson's wardrobe malfunction, I guess). ;D

Can I substitute Gladys Knight & The Pips? ;)

I do know the difference and Yes if they are free.

(currently sitting in Raton, NM with severe hail damage to the exploder.)

Holy new weekly survey, Batman--they've changed the songs!

Some are good, some...well, I'll just say it's nice to have the
site so I really shouldn't complain. ;)

But I can do without the grossly-overplayed (at least in PHX)
Bad Bad Leroy Brown. Closed circuit for the WRC dudes--
can you dump it and bring back Mr. Big Stuff?

But no particular Van Morrison song for you, OldiesFan. And no James Taylor for me! It's good, but "Mr. Big Stuff" would be nice to have back. Or throw in another Stax Records hit!

I'd like to hear someone hit the post to Elton John's "Island Girl". That one seems to be kind of tricky.
