well, let's see if this works. Was in the middle of replying to a post about whom will get the Red Sox when r-i.com went down, and it came back up with this impressive new look! Well, tried to re-register under old name but it wouldn't work so am trying racradio. And when I did try to use that name it censored it; my name has to dowith an animal with a ringed tail who washes his food, but it contains a slang termso...Anyway, someone had said Entercom could try to keep the Sox by moving WEEI to93.7. Would work GREAT for me--I work in N. Reading and the 'MKK stick is a few miles away in Peabody. But would it cover whole Boston area? (They could also put Sox games on 107.3 WAAF and 103.7 WEEI-FM to cover some areas, if need be...)But GM may have the edge, what with having several FM properties with signals that do well, esp. WBOS 92.9, WTKK 96.9, etc.; maybe even WROR 105.7...WMJX? Doubtthey'd blow it up to do sports/Sox...and we all know they're trying to buy WCRBand would maybe sell of WKLB to 99.5...anyway, we'll see if Entercom can keepthe Sox.now to see if this post will show up! I know there are glitches--it's a new board,so I realize not everything will work...

" Beat the Press" presented the WBOS switch as a fait accompli yesterday. Emily even said she "felt sorry" for WEEI. Anyway I hope the Sox play it straight and don't go the ESPN-Fox-TSN route whose personalities make the format unlistenable. Get Neumy,Chuck Wilson,Sean McAdam,Doug Brown,Todd Wright(lol) and really make a go of it in drive time against the big-biller.
I think I got around the filter by registering as racconradio. take one o out and it's no longer interpreted as a slur/bad word by software.
I think most of the TSN hosts are very good.. they spend less times talking about themselves or making fun of the flash guy and TALK SPORTS. David Stein on the overnights on 1510 is one of the best hosts I've heard in a long time.Blackrock said:
