Tex-Mex DX

Sitting in the house (the only sane thing to do in Phoenix when the outside temp is 110+ in the shade), I did a little flipping around on TV. More great DX today starting in Mexico and moving north into Texas.Positive IDs:XHRIO 2 Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico (Fox). 1040 mi.KPRC 2 Houston TX (NBC). 1010 mi.WOAI 4 San Antonio TX (NBC). 850 mi. Almost ignored, thinking it was NBC affil. KVOA 4 Tucson.ID by programming:KCWX 2 Fredericksburg (San Antonio) TX. Not many stations run Little House on the Prairie anymore, do they? 825 mi.KRIS 6 Corpus Christi TX (NBC). Local commercial with 361 area code. 960 mi.ID by logo:Orange local Televisa logo. No station ID. Probably XEFE 2 Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. 875 mi. Could have been XEFB 2 Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. 900 mi.Televisa Canal 5 logo. No station ID. Likely XEPM 2 Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. 340 mi. Don't know of any other station on channel 2 carrying Canal 5.Also had a CBS station interfering with channel 4, but given the strength of the signal and what looked like a local commercial, I'm almost certain that it was KPHO 5 Phoenix.

Great Catches there I should put my antenna up tonight and see what all comes into Dallas.

The dry line that varies from Eastern NM to East TX is remarkable. I got right underneath it in Crosbyton, TX last week, and San Diego / Los Angeles FM came in like locals for hours!
