Texans Vs Colts on CW?

I just saw a commercial that Channel 39 Houston will be airing the Texans Vs Colts Football game tonight at 7. Since when does that channel transmit games?

Since it's a cable-only game. The NFL's TV contract requires all teams' road games and the home games that sell out in time to be shown over broadcast television. Local stations in NFL markets bid for contracts to air those games - they usually end up with a station that is not Fox, CBS or NBC. Due to the fewer games in the football season versus other sports, the 15-20% of the market that are OTA-only potential viewers is considered significant enough to get some love from the NFL.

KIAH 39 also plans to show another Texans Game on ESPN (Against Baltimore at Reliant), Plus a road game in Philadelphia against The Eagles. The latter can also be seen over on NFL-TV, in which it's showing Thursday & Saturday Night games as well. The First Game on NFL-TV for this is next Thursday between the aforementioned Ravens, as They play the Falcons-In Atlanta.
