I read on allaccess where TR was looking for a production asst. a while ago and now they're advertising for a production director???? did they run everyone off again?

Me thinks Retired should spend less time looking for a job! LOL! I've outed myself on this board before and I want to set the record straight so I'm outing myself again. I'm starting to feel like Elton John coming in and out of the closet like this!

I recently resigned as Production Director for Texarkana Radio and I went to Community Radio in <GASP> sales. My reason for resigning had more to do with personal reasons than anything involving the owners/management. Basically, I'm a working mother and production/on air doesn't go well with motherhood. This wasn't a decision that management made, this was my own personal choice. Plus, I thought I'd see what the view was like on this side of the fence.

I chose Community because they offered the best training plan and well, everyone here came from Texarkana Radio and I already had a few people I knew. Remember, we all work in a very incestuous business.

So sorry, no big drama, no firing, and no firing squad....

Good luck with your new job.

Thanks so much Musicradio! I never dreamed I would enjoy it so much. I'm thinking why didn't I go into sales years ago. Plus, their training program is great!
