This e-skip was the icing on the cake for an already AMAZING month of July for DX'ing. Interestingly enough, things never cooked up here until July 18th! Between the 1st of July and the 21st, I only received 3 stations. However, July 22nd through the 25th proved to be one of my best tropo events ever, with 29 stations logged from Saint Louis, Toronto and places in between during the four day period!

The signature should say 679 stations.. :)
______________

667 stations and counting...

Awesome.

The MUF of the opening I caught seemed to peak and die at 92.3 right when I switched from TV to radio.

And that was the first E-skip of any kind I've had here in Bama in 2 whole months at that.

The 97.5 is most likely KWTX in Waco, a CHR that apparently just played that song right before I looked at their site.

Major dx in N. Ill. also on 7/31/05 evening, most dx less than 200 miles. Was able to positively ID two Texans, KBXX 97.9 in Houston playing urban and KROY at 99.7 apparently from a town called Palacios on the Gulf Coast. On TV, Channels 2-4 were a total mess of competing signals, was able to positvely ID KPRC-TV on ch. 2 from Houston only...there was alot more for the taking for someone with a more sophisticated set-up than rabbit ears!

Hate to say this Jeremy. Last Sunday night I logged 7 Texas FM stations here in my Msukego home. Tim in Oak Creek got 7 or more different Texas stations then what I got.
