Texas TV Emmy awards

Byron should get MUCH more than the Lone Star Emmy for his recent work. Can you spell p-e-a-b-o-d-y. Oh yeah, and he doesn't shill for NBC 5 either. Shameful they didn't have the spine to say a thing about this. Hit it Dan Rather... "courage" ;)

Re: Texas TV Emmy awards -- Belo Stations Outdistance Competition

I just looked through the list of Texas TV Emmy nominations. What jumped out at me the most was the number of nominations for the Belo stations WFAA in Dallas and KHOU in Houston..they far surpassed the number of nominations for any other stations in Texas. I made a quick count of the total number of nominations for the Houston and Dallas stations ( I could be off one or two because I counted on the computer screen, which is not the most accurate way to count)....and WFAA leads with 75 and KHOU second in Texas at 45. I counted the following

Houston
KPRC

continuing my last post ( I accidentally posted it before I was finished).

Houston
KPRC 10
KHOU 45
KTRK 20
KRIV 20
KHCW 10
KTMD 1 ( not counting the joint Telemundo nominations)
KXLN 0

KDFW 15
KXAS 28
WFAA 75
KTVT 18
KTXA 10
KUVN 10
KDAF 4

I count a total of 161 nominations for Dallas and 106 for Houston.. are the Dallas stations that much better than the Houston stations?
