Why do you have such hatred for old people ... and white people? What's with that? Could it possibly be "anger?"
The fact is that the group that uses Cricket phones is so far out of any group advertisers are interested in (I think most Crickets, in fact, are bought by family members who realize that Ma or Pa can't fathom an iPhone),

In radio, we try to discourage heavy over-65 listening if we can because it taints the perspective of ad buyers. I remember well when Randy and his team took over WFLA in Tampa and when an old woman would call, they'd sometimes be put on the air just so the talk host could say, "Oh, my god, another blue-haired old lady..." and hang up. The whole idea was to make them feel unwelcome.

I thought that was Jerry Springer. Well maybe not the part about name calling.
I always found it amusing that after his guests would fight he would end his show with "be kind to yourself and each other."
Oh, yeah, that whole "Jerry's Final Thought" was total bullcrap.
The "final thought" and the "Take care of yourself...and each other" signoff were a bit of a throwback from when Jerry Springer first started his national show. He actually took on serious topics and it was, in my humble opinion, a decent show, though it was on very late night where I lived at the time - something like 2:00 a.m.

Unfortunately his ratings were in the toilet and that's when they took the show in another direction, turned it into the circus of name calling, paternity tests and confrontations it became, with so many "bleeps" of foul language at times that it could be difficult to understand what anyone on the show was actually saying. It appealed to the lowest denominator for sure, but the ratings spiked. At that point, Springer's show and its popularity had little resemblance to how he started out, but he did choose to keep the "Final thoughts" segment.

WLML takes requests. But they want you to text, not call.

Under their "contact" information, they have a number for the "listener line" - Listener Line: 1-561-685-9565

Their website says that they love to interact with their listeners:
Legends 100.3 is a full power live and local FM radio station based in Florida’s beautiful Palm Beaches playing the best music ever created. We love interacting with our listeners. We’re glad to have you with us!

First, the listeners' votes didn't actually count and most callers were bored high schoolers. We did keep a tabulation of requested songs and how many votes each got, but the DJ in loose consultation with the MD made the decision on what to play on that show each night.
We didn't even keep track with our Top 9 at 9. We used the calls simply to get some calls to use on air. We would use the cue sheets from the upcoming weekend's AT40 that typically arrived Monday or Tuesday and base it around the top 15 or so.
