Anyone have schematics for the TFT EAS 911 R4 unit? Speaker/printer inhibit isn't working, it's forwarding the header/eom codes but not the message, and audio doesn't work on one of the channels. Time to have a little fun.<P ID="signature">______________

Let me look into that for you. I have installed about a dozen of these babies and have a bunch of the documentation on it. I might have the schematic.

You can also call Joseph Holmes at TFT, he's always been more than helpful to me when I had a question about the units. (408)423-9218 ex. 226.
(and gave me information on a 10yr old unit, which was way out of warranty and we didn't have a service contract on).

Tried that extension all last week...must have been around thursday that it said the voicemail box was full so I figured he was on vacation. I talked to someone there and they said they'd be happy to provide me documention for $45 :(<P ID="signature">______________

Followup

C240 on the audio expander board exploded...that would explain why CH4 audio is dead. Took the board out and the internal voice recorder suddenly started working.

Still a problem with the damn speaker/printer inhibit.<P ID="signature">______________

I was about to recommend the Trilithic, but you beat me to it. Our unit is tremendously reliable, has the two receivers (more are optional), you can connect and configure the unit via PC and serial connection and download the logs. Even with a somewhat poor signal, we have yet to miss a test. Plus, it already has the relays and the like that TFT and others charge much more for.

Re: Followup

TFT isn't bad...I like the unit. I'm just a little disappointed that they won't share the super secret schematic with me. Harris couldn't wait to fax me everything down to the shoe size of the person who drew it.

I was hoping to have everything fixed by 10:45am wednesday...at the very least I'm still monitoring an LP1 and satellite/email emnet, but I really miss the "periods of long darkness" overnight weather warnings I pick up from monitoring NOAA :)<P ID="signature">______________
