TFT EAS 930A Question

Hello,

I just installed a TFT EAS 930A receiver in our rack. Since it's recycled, I can't seem to track down a manual and have a question on its operation. The 2 FM modules seem to be working well; however, I do not get any audio out of the back of the Weather module despite hearing the weather audio on the front panel whenever enabled. Further, the RF/Audio light hardly blinks despite having a good signal. I'm wondering if something in the audio chain in the module is hosed, or if the module remains muted until it receives a weather alert from NOAA weather.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The monitor does not mute the signal while awaiting an alert. It should be live all of the time. PRoabably something has been hosed.

Thanks Bill. I opened up the unit, and found a jumper for "Alert". I ended up switching the location of the jumper and now get audio coming out of the unit through the ports.

Intersting! Mine must have come from the factory stock with that jumper out. Live and learn. Love this business. Radio is not a job, it's a way of life!
