Although this is certainly one ego that DOES NOT need any stroking...and I generally avoid giving attention to folks who say, "Look at me!" as much as he does...but his circus is becoming hard to miss. Thaddeus is kind of like a bad car accident--not something you really want to see, but your head keeps turning to look anyway as you drive on by.

In his efforts to fill the void of the now defunct Weekly World News, become the junior high version of 60 minutes locally, and his mission to become a synonym for the word "litigation" in Memphis, he is succeeding quite well.

Be sure to check out his blog entry for Monday, June 30 ("Candidate For Trustee's Office Could Land New Role"), and note the photo choices. It is only Thaddeus' good fortune that he wrote this as a black man, because an author of another color would have made the evening news for this er, "story."

(I'm not sure if links are permissible here, so I'll simply note that his blog is simply his name with a good old dot com affixed to the end.)

Thaddeus is dashing alright. He's usually dashing just a few yards ahead of the process servers.

And Buzz, you are 100% correct about how Thaddeus will get a free pass on his little separated-at-birth joke.

If a white guy did that, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have already booked their flights to Memphis.

WoW!!! Ya know, I have to applaude Thaddeus in a way -- I mean he's not afraid to make enemies of ANY color. Just look at what he does to Nikki Tinker on July 2nd.

All I can say is .. WOW!!

Yes, Thaddeus is certainly an "equal opportunity offender" when it comes to public putdowns.

Have you noticed the wide-ranging collection of "sponsors" on his blog? From sheet music, to pest control, to paternity testing, Thaddeus has you covered.

My personal favorite is the the cartoon of the substantially-sized woman with the heading, "Sista Big Bone Needs Love Too." (I'm impressed that the word "too" actually had more than one "o.")

And speaking of Thaddeus' slam on Nikki Tinker (which seems to be a recurring them), did you notice the Memphis Flyer's mention of the "incoherent" (their word) press release she sent them? It was mentioned under the "Fly By" column in the June 26-July 2 issue, which as of today can still be downloaded from their web site in PDF format.

Tinker of course is going up against Steve Cohen, using the tired old non-theme, "it's time for a change," even though she has no real experience and little if anything new to offer. (Unless having worked at an airline and helping the Fords "pass out hams" counts.)

Yeah, Thaddeus dashing from the process servers is nothing new. I used to work for the same station he did and what a waste of airtime he provides. Glad I moved to Florida for a real job.

Well...Sir Thaddeus has come to the party. Welcome, Thad. You are certainly "on a roll" these days, as they say on the loading dock at Nabisco.

You are coming at us so fast and furious with radio shows and blog posts these days, I don't know which one I'd consider the most inspired.

Your Friday (7/4) blog post, "IN 1982 TRUSTEE CANDIDATE WANTED TO PAY ME WITH ORAL FAVORS" really jumps out. I have to assume by "oral favors" you are not referring to "party" favors (I personally prefer "roll-out tooters" myself, but even traditional mini-trumpets will do when you're running late and Hallmark is closed.) It's ok though Thad, sometimes you take a job for experience and the money comes later.

I know you haven't even announced the contest yet, but my entry for the "Ask an Up-and-coming Radio Celebrity a Question" contest is this: WHEN are you going to have "Sista Big Bone" on your radio show? I've seen her ads on your blog, and I really feel for her with that caption, "Sista Big Bone Needs Lovin' Too." I can't understand why Sista hasn't gotten the lovin' she needs since you started promoting her virtues with that exquisite cartoon of her gargantuan (but lovable) figure. Calling all Faces Made For Radio (FMFRs)...Sista Big Bone is available, and sitting by the phone right now. (Remember guys, the early DJ gets the worms, to the victor goes the spoilage, etc.)

I have only one suggestion for you Thad. Get a new picture for the mast of your blog, and lose the jewelry. That silver dollar ring would only work if you were wearing a toga (then given the right pose and lighting, the ring might pass for a full-size Roman shield).

Other than that, most of us here would drool to get the attention you do, provided it came instead from female, non-civil servants under the age of 25.

Thaddeus's show sounds like a Mad TV skit...it is horrible. the callers are horrible and he is too. KWAM should be embarrassed by putting this on.

Proof that KWAM has become the secular equivalent of dollar a holler? Anything for a buck. At least they don't put on the charade of claiming to be a "Christian" station like WMQM and WLRM. :-\

Lips must not come unpursed...

While I don't always agree with him or his views, he's well within his right to sell his 'opinion' online or on the air. He's not a politician, he's just a blogger and radio-host. It's when elected official, or officials with some degree of state or government affiliation sell their 'opinions'.

Heck, isn't that how all the right-wingers stay on the air?

According to the details on his blog, Thaddeus came out the winner yesterday in that lawsuit against him. He says that the plaintiff is now planning to sue the Commercial Appeal "for a billion dollars." (If that's true, I am not sure how long it will take for the laughing in the court to die down enough to hear the case.)

Speaking of dollar a holler stations…are KWAM, WLRM and WMQM de-listed or do they just have no listeners? I seem to remember ARB listing stations with 0.0 but these aren’t listed at all.
