Thank you Central PA

It's been ten and a half years but as of April 13th, my time with WSOX is over. I did some great things with them and took them to good heights but it seems that my time was up.

I'm probably through with radio now and will look for other avenues to build in and maybe a "normal" job where I can spend some time with my kids.

This also probably means that I'll be leaving Central PA and returning home to Michigan.

I know that I have had some love/hate relationships on this board, but I value the friendships and the advice given.

My only regret is that I couldn't do more....

Thank you,
Greg Stucki
former radio personality

Best of luck Greg!

Radio has changed so much in just the last 5 years. I wonder what it will look like in the next five. Will there be anybody left? Just morning shows? Just a cluster PD? For that matter....any stations?

Onward and upward, Greg. I don't say who I am on this board because of the crap posted by mean-spirited people here. I'll just say that my 30-year career ended about 5-years ago, and I don't think I'll ever get over it. However, life goes on, and you will land on your feet - I'm sure of it. Be well, my friend. Take care of those kids, and enjoy the next part of your life.

;)

Good luck Stucki.
It was good working with you.
When I left a year ago the answer to most questions were "Stucki does that".

Radio soon should qualify as an endangered species. Maybe on its way to be extinction.

Hey Greg,

I was listening to WSOX the other night and heard Bobbie D and my first thought was that they got rid of Greg Stucki.

There are a lot of aspiring DJ's that never made it in this business because it wanted to save the veterans from losing their jobs.

In this economy, there's only so much you can do and we will have to endure the end of radio broadcasting as we know it. While I offer sincere condolences for finding out about your situation, I never understood how broadcasters could complain about a job so many would want - but did not have experience for.

The industry of radio broadcasting is about backstabbing and making one look better than the other. I would not be surprised if WSOX went to only 8 hours of live radio a day and make the rest pre-recorded.

Wishing you the best in hopes that something comes along.

Sonny L.

I wouldn't be surprised if CMP makes a LOT more changes on and off the air in June.

I have received so many emails of support since I posted this on the board and I thank each and every one of you for them.
